Blouse & Blue Work Wear

Blouse: Forever 21 | Pants: Gap | Shoes: Steve Madden | Necklace: Charming Charlie
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Hello & Happy Monday! I'm extremely excited for this week because at the end of it Alex and I are going on a little vacation!! Our first anniversary is this Saturday, so we randomly decided to go away to Washington DC. Alex lived there for several years when he was in the Navy and hasn't been back since he got out a few years ago. He's been wanting to visit DC for a while now and since I've never been we figured it would be an exciting trip to take especially since the Cherry Blossom Festival is going on. We also decided to drive there to make it a little more adventurous and be able to stop at different places. It's going to be a longggg drive but I know it will be lots of fun being together. If you have any suggestions on what to visit in DC, please let me know!!

But we still have to get through a few days of work until the fun can begin. This look today is all about the office wear. A basic blouse and bright pants are perfect for spring transitioning. The pretty ruffles and bow on the blouse are just the perfect feminine details to bring some life to it. I'm such a fan of this type of look. It is ideal for those mornings when you're running late or when you just aren't feeling particularity inspired, you can throw something like this on and still look so fresh and ready to take on the office!

Kimono Casual

Kimono: Forever 21 | Shirt: Forever 21 | Jeans: Loft | Shoes: J.Crew Factory | Necklace: Express (old)
Bracelet: Charming Charlie

The other weekend, I went to Forever 21 looking for an orange flowy skirt and instead came out with this kimono. It was one of those items placed right by the front door so when I walked in I saw it immediately. I thought about it the whole time while I looked for my skirt unsuccessfully. It was like haunting me that I hadn't picked it up. I knew when to cut my losses and give up on the skirt. Instead, I decided to purchase this beauty. Can't say my trip wasn't productive! The colors of this kimono are fabulous for spring with the soft pastels perfectly paired against the navy background, and the detail around the hem is just so sweet. I threw on my embellished jeans and bow flats to add some more character. It would look just as equally cute with white jeans or over a little white dress. I've got all spring and summer to try out different looks with it!

Enjoy your weekend! xo

Skirting into Spring

Top: Chicwish | Skirt: Lulu's (similar and similar) | Shoes: Aldo (similar)
Earrings and Bracelet: Charming Charlie (in stores only)

Another day, another skirt! As soon as I ordered this skirt from Lulu's, it went out of stock. The colors are such a darling mix all swirled together and make for a gorgeous print. Hopefully, it comes back in stock for those of you who like it. I linked similar pretty, printed skirts from Lulu's. On Monday, I mentioned I made my first purchases from Chicwish in this post. This top is another purchase from there as well. The crochet detail is so delicate and beautiful. I love all the pretty and feminine details of this look that it has me contemplating wearing it again for my anniversary.

Thanks for following along! Have a terrific Tuesday! xo
